作者简介
埃乌杰尼奥·蒙塔莱（Eugenio Montale，1896～1981），意大利诗人。1896年10月12日生于热那亚，1981年9月12日卒于米兰。少年时学习声乐，酷爱文学。1917年被征召入伍。战争结束后开始诗歌创作。第一部诗集《乌贼骨》，使诗人声誉鹊起。它从大千世界中精心选取一系列富于象征意义的艺术场景，着力刻画人的内心世界瞬息间的细微感情。1938年，因拒绝加入法西斯党，被解除佛罗伦萨文学馆馆长之职。

早在1956年，他已被公认为世界上最伟大的诗人之一，尽管那时他仅仅发表了三部诗集。1975年获得诺贝尔文学奖。
