关于作者
邵洵美（1906—1968），祖籍浙江余姚，出生于上海，出身官宦世家。新月派诗人、散文家、出版家、翻译家。1923年初毕业于上海南洋路矿学校，同年东赴欧洲留学。入英国剑桥大学攻读英国文学。1927年回国，与盛佩玉结婚。1928年开办金屋书店，并出版《金屋月刊》。1930年11月“国际笔会中国分会”成立，当选为理事，并任会计，1933年编辑《十日谈》杂志，并发表第一篇小说名为《贵族区》。1934年编辑《人言》杂志。1936年3月至1937年8月主持《论语》半月刊编务。 晚年从事外国文学翻译工作，译有马克·吐温、雪莱、泰戈尔等人的作品。其诗集有《天堂与五月》《花一般的罪恶》。
